Radka Kovaříková and René Novotný 1991 NHK Trophy - Original Program
René Novotný (born June 10, 1963) is a Czech former competitive pair skater. With former partner Radka Kovaříková, he is the 1995 World champion. They were coached by Irina Rodnina. He was previously partnered with Ingrid Zenata (until 1981), Jana Havlová (1982–84) and Lenka Knapová (1984–88).

A three-time Olympian, Novotný and Knapová were in ninth place after the short program before withdrawing before the long program at the 1988 Calgary Games. He went on to finish fourth at the 1992 Albertville Games and sixth at the 1994 Lillehammer Games with Kovaříková. After winning their World title, Kovaříková and Novotný turned professional and twice won the World Professional Championships (in 1995 and 1997). They toured with Stars on Ice for one season (1996-97) and continued to skate in shows around the world for a number of years. Novotný and Kovaříková got married in 1996 but later divorced.
