Joseph Reginald "Reg" Whitehead (25 April 1899 – 25 December 1963) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond and Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

The eldest child of Joseph Whitehead and Margaret Amanda Smith, Reg Whitehead was born and raised in Richmond. He played two games for Richmond in the 1921 VFL season before leaving to join Camberwell, then in the Melbourne Districts League. A good year in 1924, where he kicked 68 goals, earned him a transfer to Hawthorn when they joined the VFL in 1925. He played at full forward in their first ever VFL match but was dropped after one week and never played VFL football again.

Reg Whitehead worked as a trimmer for most of his life and married Beryl Mary Maunsell in the late 1930s. He served in World War II and died at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital in 1963.
