Real Salt is a brand and a registered trademark of a rock salt mined near the town of Redmond, Utah. The mine is a remnant of the epeiric Sundance Sea.

According to the company website, the salt contains over 60 trace minerals. The published breakdown lists 59 minerals including iron oxide, that give it a characteristic color and flavor; 99% of Real Salt is made up of sodium chloride. Unlike most edible salts, the product does not contain anti-caking ingredients.
