The Rawalpindi International School was founded in the 1980 in the city of Rawalpindi, in the Punjab, Pakistan. Located at 77 A Rehmanabad Chowk, near the junction with Murree Road, it was owned and run by a husband and wife team with the Principal being Mrs Anwar Khan and Managing Director Mr Haji Muhammad Anwar Khan who died in 1989.

In January 1991 the school relocated to new premises on 1290 B, Satellite Town Saidpur Rd near Kali Tanki in Rawalpindi. It was again shifted to new premises at O-960/B, Siraj ud Dola Road Near Asghar Mall Road Rawalpindi where finally it was shut down in July 2010.
