Ras Burqa, (“head of the blessing” in Ararbic) is a small bay on the Red Sea in the district of Nuwaiba, Egypt.

In 1985, Suleiman Khater, a lone Egyptian assailant, perpetrated the Ras Burqa massacre killing eight people.

since 1986 the bay hosts Basata resort and is commonly referred to by that name
