The Rapid Containment Baton (also known as the RCB or Peacekeeper) is a friction-lock design, expandable baton used by law enforcement, corrections, military, and private security agencies. Since 2004 it has been produced and sold exclusively by Pomona, California-based Peacekeeper Products International. Prior to 2004 it was distributed by Dummies Unlimited, Inc. as the "Wilmoth" and by the now-defunct Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based company Winchester Police Products as the "Winchester".
In 2008, the Weapons and Research Institute (WERI) at the Gulf Coast University in Florida conducted a 10-month study where all expandable, straight stick, and side handle batons were evaluated and the RCB was determined to be the most durable, effective, and well designed baton on the market.
