Rao Jaimal (1507–1568) was the ruler of Merta till 1568. He was the half-brother of SaintMeera and became the ruler of Merta after the death of his father, Rao Veeram Dev. His father was thought to be the strongest king of the east in his time.
Rao Jaimal died in Chittorgarh in February, 1568. He was shot by Akbar himself. This turned the tide of battle and the Rajputs' morale decreased.
