The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) is an agency of the government of South Africa that regulates railroad safety. Its head office is in Waterview Corner in Bruma, Johannesburg. It also has a Cape Town office in Suite 515 of the 5th floor of the Paul Sauer Building.

The agency investigates accidents and incidents related to railways.

The National Railway Safety Regulator Act, Act 16 of 2002 established the RSR.
