Røros landsogn (English: Røros rural parish) is a former municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality encompassed the southern part of the present-day municipality of Røros, excluding the mining town of Røros bergstad, stretching all the way south to Femunden and the Swedish border.

History

The rural part of the Røros parish was established as a separate municipality called Røros landsogn in 1926 when the large municipality of Røros was split into four separate municipalities: Brekken, Glåmos, Røros bergstad, and Røros landsogn. Initially, Røros landsogn had a population of 701. On 1 January 1964, the four municipalities were reunited under the name Røros. Before the merger Røros landsogn had a population of 482.
