Quercus splendens is a species of oak tree which is native to central Mexico (México State, Guerrero, Jalisco, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Michoacán, Oaxaca).

Quercus splendens is a deciduous tree up to 15 meters tall, with gray bark and branching hairs the look like stars under the microscope. Leaves are thick and leathery, up to 18 cm long, with a few shallow lobes on the edges.
