Qarzol-Hasane Mehr Iran Bank (Persian: بانک قرض الحسنه مهر ایران ‎‎), also known as QMB, is an Iranian bank founded in December 2007. QMB is the first Iranian specialized Islamic bank which is specifically engaged in providing loans that are interest-free and non-profit. These loans, known in Iran as "Gharzolhasane" (or "Qarzol-Hasane" as here), are essentially granted to the legal and individual entities in dire need for either welfare purposes or for fulfilling short-term funding requirements.
