Pyrausta augustalis is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by C. Felder, R. Felder and Rogenhofer in 1875. It is found from Texas through Mexico south to Central America.

The wingspan is about 18 mm. The forewings are orange in the basal two-thirds and dark reddish in the distal third. The dividing line between these colors is almost straight and there is no antemedial line. Adults have been recorded on wing in March, from June to July and in November.
