Pyotr Shafranov

Pyotr Grigoryevich Shafranov (Russian: Пётр Григорьевич Шафранов) (January 19, 1901 – November 4, 1972) was a Soviet Colonel-General and Hero of the Soviet Union (19 April 1945, medal № 7418). He was buried in the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.

Shafranov was awarded two Orders of Lenin, three Orders of the Red Banner, Order of Suvorov (2nd Class), Order of Kutuzov (2nd Class), Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky (2nd Class), numerous medals, and a few foreign orders.
