Profiles

The Putnam Avenue Upper School (commonly known as PAUS) is one of the four Upper Schools in Cambridge, Massachusetts USA. It was established on September 4, 2012. The upper school houses sixth, seventh, and eighth graders who are from the Kennedy-Longfellow Elementary School, the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School Martin Luther King Junior Elementary School, and the Morse Elementary School.

The school is housed, along with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, at 100 Putnam Avenue. It opened its doors in December 2015. The completely rebuilt 187,000-square-foot building, damaged by a May 2015 fire that delayed its opening for the 2015–16 school year, features geothermal wells; daylight harvesting; an automatic lighting dimmer system; and a gray water storage system.
