Purbachal International Cricket Arena is a multi-purpose stadium under construction in Purbachal, Dhaka that will serve a the headquarters of Bangladesh Cricket Board and the home of Dhaka Dynamites of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). It is intended to replace the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, which will serve as the home of the Dhaka Dynamites until 2018-2019 season. The total cost is estimated at 1100-crores, or approximately $140 million, as of March 2017. Upon completion, Purbachal Cricket Arena will become the fourth largest cricket stadium in term of capacity, and the most expensive cricket stadium in Asia.

Overview

The stadium is being constructed on the location at Sector one of Purbachal New Town, and is being built on 38 acres of area. The stadium will include five-story state of the art pavilion, and media center; for the cost of 60-crores. The three-story seating area will be built at estimated cost of 150-crores. An outer stadium will be constructed at 37-crores.
