Punjab Gaushala Mahasangh is the representative body of 404 Gaushalas in the state of Punjab in India. It works for the welfare of cows, their treatment and better upkeep facilities throughout the state of Punjab. It is a non-governmental organization, being run under the guidance of its President Romesh Gupta. The President and other Executive Members serve on an honorary basis.

Gaushala, translates to a shelter for cows. These cow shelters (Gaushalas) are being run throughout India. Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI)an official body of Government of India often extend monetary grants to these Gaushalas, subject to their own guidelines and requirements. Normally all Gaushalas are supported by public charity only. They even accept fodder/grass gratefully for these Gaushalas.
