Pumaqucha (Quechua puma cougar, puma, qucha lake, "puma lake", Hispanicized spelling Pumacocha) is a lake in Peru located in the Lima Region, Yauyos Province, Laraos District. It is situated at a height of about 4,388 m southwest of the mountain Léon Pitakana (Leónpitacana) near the village of Pumaqucha. The lake is about 2 km long. Sima Pumaqucha which is considered the deepest shaft in the Andes is situated near the lake.
