Public Bath Records was an independent record label, based in Madison, Wisconsin that specialized in releasing independent and underground Japanese music, especially from Western Japan (Osaka, Kyoto.)

Public Bath was founded in 1989 by American expatriate David Public, then resident in Osaka and active in the underground music scene there. His American partner, Betsy Bath, handled the business aspects of the label. During the label's existence, Public and Bath released 14 singles and 6 CDs. Due to the deterioration of Bath's health, she left the label, which continued for a short time with new partner, Bob MacDonald, of San Francisco. By 1994, Public had become too busy with other projects, and other American indie labels were beginning to release Japanese music, so he retired, ending the first era of Japanese indie music in American release. A successor company, Public Bath Press, publishing books on Japanese music culture and history, began in 2016.
