Profiles

Providence Academy is a private, co-ed, Catholic college-preparatory school (PreK-12) at 15100 Schmidt Lake Road, Plymouth, Minnesota. Providence's motto, "Faith, Knowledge, Virtue", is a guide and benchmark at the Academy. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Providence Academy is fully accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Providence Academy is one of only seven schools nationwide to be named a Top 50 Catholic High School for the past six consecutive years by the Catholic High School Honor Roll.

Providence Academy maintains an open enrollment policy and seeks to include diversity in its mission statement as well as its atmosphere.

Founded in 2001, most of the initial $20 million was donated by entepeneur Robert Cummins, who became chairman of the school's board. Over the summer of 2006 Providence completed construction on its Upper School wing. This project added substantial classroom and functional space including a new Media Center, Biology Lab, Engineering and CAD Labs, two additional full size gyms and much more.
