Prostitution age of consent

The prostitution age of consent is the minimum age at which a person may legally engage in prostitution. In most jurisdictions the client of a prostitute under the prescribed age ("the prostitution age of consent") is subject to a criminal penalty. In jurisdiction where prostitution is generally illegal, the prostitution age of consent is the age at which the act is considered "child prostitution" in the criminal law.
