Professional Convention Management Association

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) is a non-profit professional organization, with members in 35 countries, for people involved in the operation of conventions.

Founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, PCMA relocated from Birmingham, Alabama to its current headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, in 2000. PCMA has 17 chapters throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

PCMA's Convening Leaders convention, first held in 1956, draws thousands of meeting planners to a North American destination each January.

Convene, PCMA’s monthly journal, includes a Web-based archive of articles from 1996.
