Prisoner X is a placeholder name used by reporters for some prisoners in Israel: The designation is used "to identify Israeli inmates who “work in institutions linked to security whose activities are shrouded in secrecy."

  • Ben Zygier was held in Ayalon Prison in Israel until his death there in 2010.
