Prioria is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae, native to tropical regions of Central and South America, where they occur in tidal estuaries behind the mangrove fringe. The species ranges from Nicaragua to Colombia and is also found in Jamaica. The sole species is Prioria copaifera.

Resin
Heartwood of the tree secretes a black resin when cut. Euglossine bees collect this resin for nest construction.
Wood
The wood can be used in carpentry and cabinet-making.
Conservation
In Costa Rica this tree is protected as a threatened species.
