Pouteria Polysepala is a species of plant in the Sapotaceae family. The Pouteria Polysepala is a member of the Plantae Kingdom; the Trachepohtya Phylum; the Magnolipsida Class; the Ebenales Order; and Pouteria Genus. It is endemic to Brazil, it can only be found in Brazil, making it a rare species. In addition, this particular species of plant is threatened by habitat loss and is considered "Critically Endangered (CR). It is known to reside within a large tree in a forest that is not experiencing heavy flooding. The only known occurrence of Pouteria polysepala is at the mouth of the Rio Javari.
