Pouteria maclayana is a tree in the Sapotaceae family. It grows up to 18 metres (60 ft) tall with a trunk diameter of up to 25 centimetres (10 in). The fruits are roundish, up to 1.3 cm (1 in) long. The tree is named for the Russian explorer and biologist Nicholas Miklouho-Maclay. Habitat is forests from sea-level to 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) altitude. P. maclayana is found in Indonesia, Malaysian Borneo, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
