Julie Kenner has been raped a year ago and is still psychologically suffering. She repels her husband, takes a lot of tranquillizers and is regularly seeing a psychiatrist. She accidentally learns that it's technically possible to assume the identity of a dead person and finds in this idea a way to recover. She will be most of the time a recovering Julie in front of her husband but also Bobbie King, a gorgeous red-haired woman from Florida, for the customers of Roy Mercer's bar downtown. Meanwhile, Dana, a charming neighbour takes care of her two little girls and her husband. One day, Julie learns that her has been released from prison.
