The Polish National Ballet is a ballet company founded by the Polish government in 2009. In 2015 Krzysztof Pastor is the director of the Polish National Ballet.
History
There was a previous ballet national ballet company in Poland, organized in 1937 by Nijinska in Warsaw.
The Polish National Ballet was established on 29 April 2009 by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski upon a motion from the General Director of the Grand Theatre – National Opera, Waldemar Dąbrowski.
In 2013, the ballet company participated in a worldwide revival and celebration of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, performing three versions.
