Upon its release, it was preceded by two singles. The lead single, "Play It Again", was released in early 2013. Its second single, "Can't Get Enough", was released in late 2013 and features Cuban-American rapper Pitbull.
The album was recorded in Los Angeles between 2012 and 2013. Dr. Luke served as the album's executive producer with additional production and songwriting by Max Martin, Will.i.am, Pitbull, The Jam and The Cataracs.
