"Play" is a song performed by Estonian singer Jüri Pootsmann. The song will represent Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, and was written by Fred Krieger, Vallo Kikas, and 2015 Estonian entrant Stig Rästa. The song was released as a digital download on 4 January 2016 through Universal Music Group.

Eurovision Song Contest

Pootsmann was announced as one of the twenty competing acts in Eesti Laul 2016 on 5 November 2015. He performed in the show's second semi-final on 20 February 2016, and advanced to the final. In the final on 5 March, he was awarded the highest amount of jury points, advancing to the superfinal, where the public chose him as the winner. He will perform during the second half of the first semi-final. Alongside Jüri Pootsmann, three backing vocalists Kaire Vilgats, Dagmar Oja and Silver Laas support the stage performance.

Jüri Pootsmann performed in the first semi-final held on May 10. He failed to qualify to the final, placing 18th and last, Estonia`s worst result to date.
