Platyptilia tesseradactyla is a moth of the Pterophoridae family. It is found in northern and central Europe, east to Russia. In Norway it is found up to 70° northern latitude. It is also found in the United States and Canada and has also been recorded from Iran.

The wingspan is 17–20 mm. Adults are on wing in June and July.

The larvae feed on the stems of Helichrysum arenarium and Antennaria dioica.
