Pithla bhakri is a vegetarian traditional Indian food preparation. It belongs to the state of Maharashtra. The pithla has a semi-solid consistency and is made from chick pea flour and is eaten with bhakri. It has been described as food eaten by peasants. It is accompanied by kharda or thecha. According to Meeta Deshpande writing in The Indian Express, pithla bhakri is an inseparable part of a Sinhagad trek.
