The Portuguese Pirate Party (Portuguese: Partido Pirata Português) is a political movement, not officially recognised as a political party by the Portuguese Constitutional Court. It is based on the model of the Swedish Pirate Party, it supports copyright and patent law reform, and privacy.
Much like its Swedish counterpart, the PPP maintains a neutral or simply non-existent stance in all other political matters, and can be considered a single-issue political movement.
The movement was founded on 12 May 2009, and was a founding member of Pirate Parties International.
