The Phyllomedusinae are a subfamily of Hylidae, the tree frogs. Commonly called leaf frogs, they are found in the Neotropics. The type genus Phyllomedusa contains more than half of the known species within this subfamily.

Subfamily Phyllomedusinae contains these genera:

  • Agalychnis (six species)
  • Cruziohyla (two species, formerly in Agalychnis)
  • Hylomantis – rough leaf frogs (eight species)
  • Pachymedusa – Mexican leaf frog
  • Phasmahyla – shining leaf frogs (seven species)
  • Phrynomedusa – colored leaf frogs (four living species, one recently extinct)
