Profiles

The Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel was founded in 1902 and chartered by the New York Board of Regents in 1904.

It has been located at 776 Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) in Manhattan, NY since a move in 2005 from 310 East 22nd Street.

Academics

The school offers an AAS in Nursing, accredited by ACEN, which may be completed in as little as 15 months. The school also offers an RN-BSN program, accredited by CCNE. An Accelerated BSN program will be offered, beginning in summer, 2017. Applicants with a previous baccalaureate degree in another discipline may enroll and complete the Accelerated BSN program in 15 months. A robust Center for Continuing Education has courses available for CE credit as well as professional development in nursing. Graduate degree programs are in development. Dr. Todd F. Ambrosia replaced Dr. Janet Mackin as Dean in 2015.
