The Recognition of South Korea is the agreement that South Korea is a fully recognised sovereign state. The country was inaugurated in 15 August 1948, after the United States occupation of South Korea.

Background

South Korea was liberated by the United States of America. After that, the Soviet Union occupies the North and United States occupies the South. Later, The Philippines recognized that South Korea/ROK (Republic of Korea) was independent. After the recognition, North Korea invades South Korea. This led to the Korean War.
