Ladislav Škantár - Peter Škantár (SVK) - Final C2M - 2016 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships
Peter Škantár (born 20 July 1982 in Kežmarok) is a Slovak slalom canoeist who has competed since the late 1990s along with his cousin Ladislav Škantár in the C2 category.

He won an Olympic gold medal in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro in the C2 event and nine medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with a gold (C-2 team: 2009), four silvers (C-2: 2009; C-2 team: 2011, 2013, 2014) and four bronzes (C-2: 2011, 2013, 2014; C-2 team: 2007). He also won the overall World Cup title in the C-2 category in 2009, 2010 and 2014. At the European Championships Škantár won a total of 13 medals (7 golds, 1 silver and 5 bronzes).
