Peter Andrew Waterworth (born 15 April 1957) is a British barrister and diplomat, who was the Governor of Montserrat from 2007 to 2011.

He was sworn in at the Legislative Council of Montserrat on 27 July 2007, 19 years to the day since he was last in Montserrat, when he served as a Foreign and Commonwealth Office legal adviser.

In his inaugural speech, he emphasised Her Majesty the Queen's commitment to and concern for the people of Montserrat and his commitment to the redevelopment of Montserrat. Following his swearing-in, he inspected a special guard of honour in Little Bay.

Waterworth has served as the UK's deputy high commissioner in Lagos and consul-general for Nigeria, political counselor in Islamabad and Baghdad, and in the Northern Ireland Office as well as in Germany, Italy and the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

He has a wife, Catherine.
