Pete Birrell (born Peter Birrell, 9 May 1941) was a British musician.

Birrell was born in Wythenshawe, Manchester, Cheshire. Trained as an electrician. He was in the group Freddie and the Dreamers, which had a number of hit records between 1963 and 1964. He played the bass guitar.

After the Dreamers broke up, Birrell became the chauffeur to the Lord Mayor of Manchester until he retired. His son David Birrell is a stage actor
