Pestrechinsky District (Russian: Пестречи́нский райо́н; Tatar: Питрәч районы, Pitrəç rayonı) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the northwestern central part of the republic. The area of the district is 1,352.4 square kilometers (522.2 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Pestretsy. Population: 29,023 (2010 Census); 28,454 (2002 Census); 28,469 (1989 Census). The population of Pestretsy accounts for 27.9% of the district's total population.
