Perungai is a small village in Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India, near Mangudi, 6 km from Ayyampettai and 8.9 km Papanasam. The principle occupation is agriculture but the village youngsters mostly live abroad. The village surrounding is approximately 2.5 km. 1000 people live in the area. Students study at Ayyampettai schools and Thanjavur colleges.
