The Penang Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) (originally known as the Penang State Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (PESSOC)) is an amateur orchestra and choral group funded by the state of Penang, Malaysia, with a wide-ranging repertoire that emphasizes Western classical music.

The resident conductor is Austrian-trained Japanese, Jascha Shimano, while the choral conductor is Australian and German-trained Malaysian, Ms Khoo Hooi Lay. PESSOC has a total membership of about 140 and holds regular concerts throughout the year. The choir element has a current strength of 35.
