Pavlos Lagoudakis is a Greek physicist and nanotechnologist.

Biography

Lagoudakis obtained his bachelor of science degree in physics from the University of Athens in September 2000 and three years later got his Ph.D. in the same field from the University of Southampton. From January 2004 to December 2005 he was postdoctoral research fellow at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and then from January 2006 to December 2007 was a lecturer on physics and astronomy at his alma mater. In 2006 he was awarded Academic fellowship from the Research Councils UK and in August 2011 was inaugurated for the Quantum Electronics Young Scientist Prize from the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. As of 2008 he is the University of Southampton's tenure professor and chairman of its Nanoscience Group. He is also an author of over a 100 peer-reviewed articles which have appeared in such journals as the Advanced and Nature Materials, Nano Letters, Physical Review B, Journal of Physics D, Physical Review Letters and many others. He has an h-index of 25 due to his Room-temperature polariton lasing in semiconductor microcavities article which was cited over 440 times since 2013.
