Paul Hoffman (born April 21, 1946) is an American rower who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics and in the 1972 Summer Olympics.
He was born in New York City.
Hoffman was a member of the US Olympic Rowing Team at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. A supporter of the Olympic Project for Human Rights (OPHR), Hoffman provided Peter Norman the Australian winner of the silver medal of the 200m track race with his OPHR badge he wore at the medal ceremony in support of the protest by Tommie Smith and John Carlos medal podium. He went on to face a US Olympic Committee disciplinary hearing charged with conspiracy. He was found not guilty and was allowed to take part in the eights race. He was the coxswain of the American crew which finished sixth in the eights event.
Hoffman went on to take a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich as the cox of the eights boat.
