The Paul Biya Stadium will be located in the Olembe locality in Yaounde. It will be a 60,000 seat capacity stadium which also will have basketball courts, volleyball and tennis courts, an eight lane Olympic swimming pool, conference centers, commercial centers, a four star hotel and a parking lot as supporting facilities in the Olembe Sport Complex. The stadium will be mostly used for football but can also accommodate athletic events. The Paul Biya Stadium is named after current president, Paul Biya, who has been in power for more than 30 years. It will also host some matches during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
