Pathankot Ajmer Expressway is eight-lane 600 km express highway connecting Pathankot with Ajmer via Jalandhar. The expressway will be about 600 km long out of which 325 km will fall in Punjab and rest will be in Haryana and Rajasthan. The development of this project is expected to open up the trade route to Ajmer. The movement of goods will be facilitated from northern states to South via Ajmer and Kandla port. It will cost around 8,000 crore (US$1.2 billion)
