Parker Building (Brainerd, Minnesota)

Location

623 Laurel St., Brainerd, Minnesota

The Parker Building in Brainerd, Minnesota, United States, was built in 1909 in Romanesque style. Also known as Citizens State Bank, it was built by the Parker-Dunn Corp. mainly to serve the 1889-organized Citizens State Bank (Charles N. Parker was vice president), but it also held a piano store and, in its basement, a barber shop.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

It was deemed significant "as a virtually unaltered example of the commercial block style from the turn-of-the-[20th]-century era".
