Parshu Pradhan, born in 1943 A.D. (2000 B.S.) in Bhojpur, is one of Nepal's leading short story writers. He draws characters in his stories from variety of Nepalese social strata. He portraits them with subtlety and vigor and delves deep into their psyche. Author of more than a dozen of books, his latest published work is Uttarardha (The Latter Half). His well acclaimed stories include Dalle Khola (The Dalle River), Tokiyoma Sano Buddha (The Little Buddha in Tokyo), Uttarardha (The Latter Half), Chesta, Chesta, Chesta (Attempts!!!), Ma Tero Logne Hu Nirmala (I am Your Husband, Nirmala), Tebal Mathiko Aakasbani (The Telegram on the Table). He chaired many literary organizations including Bani Prakashan, a major publishing house and a literary circle.
