Parajulis poecilepterus is a species of wrasse native to the northwestern Pacific Ocean along the coast of Asia. It is an inshore species, being found in areas with a substrate of pebbles. This species grows to 34 cm (13 in) in total length. This species is commercially important and is also farmed. It is popular as a game fish and can also be found in the aquarium trade. This species is the only known member of its genus.
