Paradigm Shift: New York City's Feminist Community is a 501(c)4 non-profit feminist organization and event series founded in March 2007 by Meredith Villano, Activist & Interactive Media Executive and Lisa A. Snyder, Artist & Web Designer. With the help of its volunteer staff, Paradigm Shift has grown to a membership of over 1,700 men and women, and has developed partnerships with over 80 progressive organizations and media outlets, such as the New York Civil Liberties Union, National Organization for Women, New York Abortion Access Fund and the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault.

Paradigm Shift hosts monthly lectures and discussion groups featuring feminist thought leaders, filmmakers, and activists; workshops; screenings; as well as open mics and performances featuring local and internationally renowned talent. In June 2009, Paradigm Shift further expanded the feminist perspective by launching Paradigm Shift TV, the pioneering online feminist video channel, and a blog featuring editorials, personal essays, reviews, exclusive interviews and poetry.

Paradigm Shift supports the community by providing a platform for political and personal creative expression, marketing, project support, networking, and monetary donations to feminist non-profits.

The organization has received media attention from Time Out New York Magazine.

Paradigm Shift was a sponsor of Alycia Kaback's NYC Women's Empowerment Summit.
