The Pan American Racquetball Championships are held annually in the spring with play ending on the day before Easter. Originally called the Tournament of the Americas, the Pan American Championships are hosted by the Pan American Racquetball Confederation.

The 2016 Pan American Championships were held in San Luis Potosi, Mexico March 19-March 26, 2016. Mexicans swept gold for the first time at the championships. Daniel De La Rosa (Mexico) won Men's Singles (his 2nd PAC singles gold & 3rd overall), and Paola Longoria (Mexico) won Women's Singles (her 11th PAC gold & 7th in singles). The doubles were won by Alejandro Landa and Javier Moreno, who won his 5th PAC gold medal in Men's Doubles, and Longoria and Samantha Salas, who won Women's Doubles for a fourth time together. Salas's gold was her 6th in her career.

The competition was not held in two years. In 1995, the Pan Am Games were held in the spring, so that year's Tournament of the Americas (as the competition was then known) was not held. In 2000, the competition was cancelled due to the civil unrest in Bolivia, which was to host the event.
